Event marks completion of 90-mile fiber network bringing high-speed internet to 600+ previously underserved locations

MOSINEE, Wis. (August 26, 2025) – Marathon County officials and Bug Tussel Wireless invite members of the media to attend a fiber lighting ceremony celebrating the completion of a major broadband infrastructure milestone in the Leather Camp forest area.

The ceremony will commemorate the successful completion of Bug Tussel’s comprehensive 90-mile fiber-to-the-home deployment, which serves approximately 600 Marathon County homes, businesses, and institutions in previously underserved areas.

Media and members of the public are invited to attend this celebratory event, which will highlight the successful partnership between Bug Tussel and Marathon County in addressing the digital divide in rural communities.
