Construction will primarily occur in public right-of-way areas and utility easements, which may include the street, terrace, and sidewalk. Bug Tussel has obtained the necessary permits from local municipalities to work in these areas.

Public utility easements are managed by the county of deeds, not local municipalities. Similar to other utility companies, Bug Tussel has the right to work on these easements, which may be located in your front, side, or backyard. If an easement is within a fenced-in area, we may need your assistance to access it.

Yes! After construction is complete and when the weather permits, our crew will restore any areas where digging took place, including your lawn. We strive to minimize the impact to your property throughout the process.

Please leave the markers and paint in place until the network construction is fully complete.

Conduit construction in a small neighborhood typically takes 2 – 3 weeks. However, weather, ground conditions, equipment performance, supply delays, and other unforeseen circumstances can impact timelines.

During construction, crews will install conduit underground to prepare for future fiber development. Once construction is complete, teams will install fiber inside the conduit, splice fiber sections together, and connect the network to power and service hubs before fiber service can go live. Residents should note that after seeing construction in their neighborhood, it may take several months – sometimes over a year – before fiber service is fully live and available for installation.

As part of the fiber build, crews will install conduit cable underground, with some areas requiring additional utility work. Construction will occur in the right-of-way, and residents may experience temporary disruptions such as noise, excavation, increased vehicle traffic, and occasional short-term lane closures. Bug Tussel works closely with underground utility location services to minimize impacts, though minor disruptions may still occur. In the event of property disturbance, crews will return to restore disrupted areas once construction is complete. Residents should report damage to Bug Tussel at 877-227-0924 or btussel.com

Please note that our fiber internet service doesn’t include TV channels or streaming services directly. However, it offers high-speed internet that’s perfect for streaming television and other online services. You would need to sign up for streaming services like Netflix or DirecTV Stream through their respective platforms.

Additionally, we offer a great tool on our website called MyBundle. By creating an account, you can use MyBundle to easily manage all your streaming subscriptions in one place. It’s also a handy feature for comparing different streaming services, so you can find the one that has the channels and shows you’re most interested in.

There is not a limit to how many devices can be connected. The usage is what determines which speed will be needed. We recommend about 50-100 Mbps per user with a fiber network. Working from home we typically recommend about 25 Mbps. For streaming live tv we recommend about 10 Mbps per device. These two activities are typically what take the most usage. You can always start at a certain plan and bump up the speed in the future if needed. This is a simple process that only requires a call to our tech team. No new equipment would be needed.
