After federal changes, Wisconsin readies for second broadband expansion go-round
Bug Tussel was originally awarded over a dozen broadband expansion projects through the federal BEAD program to help bring high-speed internet to underserved areas in Wisconsin. Following recent federal changes to the program’s rules, those preliminary awards were rescinded in favor of a more technology-neutral, cost-effective approach. We are actively reassessing our strategy and remain committed to delivering reliable internet access across the state. As always, we will pursue these opportunities responsibly, balancing growth with the resources needed to maintain our high standards of service.
