Building Projects

Connecting Wisconsin to
High-Speed Internet

Founded in 2003, Bug Tussel is working to build a future where everyone, regardless of geographical or economic situation, has access to high-speed internet. Bug Tussel’s network expands across over 1,300 fiber miles and nearly 400 wireless sites, giving Wisconsin residents in over 300,000 homes and businesses the opportunity to connect to high-speed internet.

With a mission to bring broadband to all, the company began partnering with communities in 2018, building infrastructure for fiber and wireless networks in communities with no access (or very little access) to high-speed internet. Through its building project enterprise, Bug Tussel has completed 23 building projects with 14 Wisconsin counties, deploying over 1,300 fiber miles and 100 wireless sites and giving residents in over 90,000 homes and businesses the opportunity to connect to broadband service.

With the vision of a future where everyone, regardless of geographical or economic situation, has access to high-speed internet, Bug Tussel is passionate about expanding internet access across the Upper Midwest. Through thoughtful partnerships with counties across the Upper Midwest, Bug Tussel is ready to turn that vision into a reality in your community, one mile at a time.
