Initial resolution for Bug Tussel bond OK’d

Marathon County supervisors have approved an initial resolution to negotiate a $12 million bonding request from Bug Tussel, aimed at completing a broadband expansion by year-end. Despite initial concerns about funding increases and debt limits, Bug Tussel has already made significant strides with 16 towers erected and over 200 miles of fiber laid, positioning them well to bridge internet access gaps for 1,800 homes and businesses in the county.
